Subject matter such as portraits, pets, and beloved locations or objects are preferred over more abstract concepts. I definitely am more likely to chose projects that align with the subject matter, tone, and mood of my professional work (think spooky medieval clowns). Reference images are always helpful. Submitting a reference helps get me excited about your project. I will require them down the line for people\/pets, but submitting now can help jumpstart the process. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTo commission an Original Painting please follow these steps:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-Add this listing to your cart. Please ensure you fill out the proper information and include any uploads. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-Checkout and pay the $15 refundable fee. This fee is refunded if your project is not selected and will be taken out of the final cost if it is. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-You will immediately receive an email confirming I have received your inquiry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-Within 2 weeks you will receive another email with either a denial or an acceptance offer. If accepted your email will contain a full project description, cost breakdown, contract, and deposit request. We can discuss your project more via email, over the phone, or via Zoom call. Once you are comfortable with the project outline, you can sign the necessary paperwork and pay the deposit, equal to half the cost of the commission total. This deposit is non refundable. After receiving your signed contract and the deposit I will begin work on your project. No work is done on your project until the deposit is paid and the contracts are signed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-When work begins you will receive a link and a password so you can view a project updates page on my website dedicated to your project. This will not be visible to the public, only those you chose to share the link and password with. On this page I will post updates as I have them and you can add comments. This is a courtesy page and may not be updated regularly. You are guaranteed an update at the halfway point, but all other updates are at the artists discretion. You can request updates at anytime, but \u003cstrong\u003eplease note that no one will receive daily updates.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-Halfway through the agreed upon project timeline, I will send an update. At this point we can discuss the project again and I can implement up to three major changes. Additional changes or major changes to the project scope may incur an additional fee. I also reserve the right to cancel the project at this time. If your commission is canceled you will receive your original $15 fee back but you will forfeit the 1st deposit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-When the project is completed I will share with you a final update. A commission entitles you to the physical framed painting upon its completion, NOT the rights to the image. I retain the rights to sell prints and use the image on my site or for other promotional images or products. You are not allowed to reproduce or profit off of commissioned imagery.
